HOW IT WORKS

Not a fact-checker.
A structure-checker.

Frametra never says a story is true, false, left or right. It shows how the story is built, and gives you the evidence to judge for yourself.

What it measures

Six signals on every article

Scoring is genre-aware: first-person argument is expected in an op-ed, but flagged in a news report that presents itself as neutral.

Source attributionNamed sources, direct quotes and linked citations behind each claim.
Editorial integrityLoaded language and passive framing versus neutral reportage.
Claim pressureHow much of the text pushes a conclusion versus letting evidence speak.
Epistemic hedgingWhether uncertainty is acknowledged and calibrated.
Evidence signalsNumbers, data points and documentary grounding.
Passive voiceWhether responsibility for actions is stated clearly or obscured.

Source diversity scoring is grounded in the JeRI framework, developed by Adamson and Malik at Toronto Metropolitan University: who gets to speak, whose perspective is left out, and how claims are supported.

About

Built by one person who got tired of guessing.

Frametra is built and operated by Frametra Software Inc., a small independent company in London, Ontario, Canada. Reading the news should not take a media literacy degree to spot single-source reporting, unverified claims or quietly editorialized framing.

We are a young company and we do not have a wall of testimonials yet. We would rather wait for real ones than write our own. If a score looks wrong, or Frametra is useful to you, tell us at sales@frametra.com.
