The method

Three steps to structural clarity

Frametra doesn't label news as "fake" or "real." It deconstructs the architecture of how a story is built — and gives you the tools to decide for yourself.

01 / INSTALL

Add the extension

One click from the Chrome Web Store. Frametra sits quietly in your browser, ready when you need it — no account required for basic analysis.

02 / SCAN

Analyze any article

Visit any news page and click Analyze. Frametra reads the article's structural composition — not its conclusions — and returns a real integrity score in seconds.

03 / VERIFY

Act on the findings

Compare coverage, trace narrative timelines, audit your own drafts, or generate a certified PDF report for editors, assignments, or institutional review.

Newsroom Structural Audit

from $500 per audit

We analyze 20–50 published articles from your outlet and deliver a written report: which signals are consistently weak, which beats carry the highest claim pressure, where source diversity is falling short across your coverage.

From our Newsroom SOP Kit

"The most common source diversity failure is not deliberate exclusion. It is the invisible default: reaching first for the sources that are easiest to reach."

  • 20–50 articles analyzed across all six signals
  • Pattern identification by beat and journalist
  • JeRI source diversity breakdown
  • Written report with specific recommendations
For editors, news directors, and communications teams who want a documented picture of their structural patterns.

How your subject is being covered

from $300 per report

We run a corpus of articles mentioning your organization, issue, or sector through Frametra and deliver a scored breakdown: source patterns, anonymity rates, editorial language trends, and which outlets are treating your subject most and least rigorously.

From our Source Diversity Framework

"A story scoring 78 (PASS) might still show heavy overrepresentation of Authority sources with zero Citizen voices — a structurally significant finding for stories about communities directly affected by policy."

  • 30–50 articles scored across all signals
  • Outlet-by-outlet structural comparison
  • Source diversity and anonymity rate analysis
  • 48-hour turnaround
For communications directors, public affairs teams, NGOs, and researchers tracking coverage patterns.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. Frametra does not label news as true or false, left or right, credible or not. It analyzes the structural architecture of how a story is written — source attribution, claim density, editorial language — and gives you the data to make your own judgment. We believe informed readers are more valuable than algorithmic verdicts.
The score is a weighted composite of six signals: source attribution quality (28%), emotive language density (25%), claim pressure (20%), epistemic hedging (10%), evidence signals (10%), and passive voice ratio (7%). A higher score means the article demonstrates stronger structural transparency — more named sources, more evidence, less loaded language. It is not a political judgment.
The Structural Integrity Certificate documents the structural analysis of an article or draft at a specific point in time. It includes the integrity score, verdict (PASS / CONDITIONAL / FAIL), sourcing breakdown, editorial read, and a unique certificate ID. It is designed to be attached to editorial submissions, academic papers, or institutional reports as evidence of source quality review. It is not a guarantee of factual accuracy.
No. All free-tier heuristic analysis runs entirely locally in your browser. No article content leaves your device. Paid-tier AI analysis sends article text to the Anthropic API for processing — this is disclosed in the extension. We do not log article URLs, store browsing data, or sell user data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Monthly plans renew every 30 days. Annual plans renew once per year. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard — your access continues until the end of your billing period. There are no cancellation fees. We offer a 7-day full refund on first-time subscriptions.

About

Built by one person who got tired of guessing.

Frametra is built and operated by Frametra Software Inc., a small independent company based in London, Ontario, Canada. The product exists because reading the news shouldn't require a media literacy degree to spot single-source reporting, unverified claims, or quietly editorialized framing. Frametra combines heuristic text analysis with AI-assisted review to score articles on source attribution, claim pressure, editorial integrity, evidentiary support, and related structural signals, surfacing the result directly in your browser as you read.

We're a young company and a work in progress. If something looks broken, scored oddly, or just doesn't make sense, we want to hear about it directly: sales@frametra.com.
